Join us for a private tour of the Museum of Modern Art (MoMA)!  The tour will include a look at the Dali exhibit and Home Delivery, as well as a general overview and tour of the Museum's architecture and permanent collection.  The tour will last one hour, and then we can wonder around till the Museum closes at 9:00.  It'll be awesome!  More details about the exhibits and the Museum are below:

Dali: Painting and Film:  Doya like movies?  So did Salvador Dali.  From MoMA's website: "Salvador Dali used film both as an inspiration and outlet for experimentation.  Among the provocative works on display are Un Chien andalou, a film made with Luis Buñuel, which features the notorious, almost unwatchable sequence of an eye being slit by a razor; L'Age d'Or, another collaboration with Buñuel and one of the landmarks of Surrealist film; projects undertaken in Hollywood with Alfred Hitchcock and Walt Disney; and such important paintings as The First Days of Spring and Illumined Pleasures."

Home Delivery: Fabricating the Modern Dwelling: It includes a little field trip to the Museum's parking lot to see a building project of modern prefabricated homes.  We'll also learn about the history of prefabricated homes, beginning in the early 19th century!

General Overview of the Museum: We'll get a brief overview of the permanent collection, as well as the architecture of the Museum, which was built way back in 1929.

Culture for the Non-Cultured

Do you live in New York City -- with tons of culture right in your own backyard -- but see Superman Returns and other blockbusters, stuff you could see anywhere? Culture for the Non-Cultured participates in 2-3 cultural activities per month -- including theater, art galleries, museums, walking tours, aquariums, and historical homes. Each event brings in 20-60 people. Usually, we eat afterwards ... because nothing builds community like sitting around a table full of calories! **It is policy that there are no refunds for events, unless they are postponed or cancelled, so make sure you can come to the event before you pay ...**
